Unlike many of its similarly-priced competitors, the Terra Trail comes tubeless-ready, meaning you can run those grippy lower pressures without fear of a pinch flat. The tubeless setup also wards off any small punctures with the clotting sealant that is added to the inside of the tire.
Along with the tubeless puncture protection, the Performance line comes with Conti's proprietary Shieldwall system, which prevents sidewall slashes and other punctures from breaking into the tire casing.
